Ensemble Programs
Concert Band
The Concert Band is our main performance ensemble. It is directed by renowned local conductor, Patrick Brennan, who is a Forest High School alumnus. The Forest High School has a long standing reputation for excellence in music and the performing arts. The current Concert Band continues the tradition with a record of recent triumphs in band competitions and successful tours. The Concert Band performs throughout the year including numerous school and community functions.
The Band rehearses twice a week on Monday morning and Thursday afternoon. Students who are interested in joining the band should fill in an expression of interest upon enrolment.
Stage Band
The Stage Band is an extension ensemble with entry by invitation from the Concert Band. Head Teacher CAPA, Ben Goldsmith conducts the Stage Band. It has a challenging repertoire of jazz and contemporary music. The Stage Band also tours and competes successfully in band competitions. It performs throughout the year including numerous school and community functions.

Choir
The Choir is open to all interested students regardless of musical experience. It focuses on fun and engaging repertoire. The Choir is led by Music Teacher, Melissa Yea and rehearses on Wednesday morning.
Drama Ensembles
There are opportunities for students at The Forest High School to participate in a variety of Drama Ensembles both within the class setting and in extra-curricular groups. Each year students have the opportunity to perform in a major school production as well as other school and community performances. The school Hall has undergone extensive upgrades in lighting and sound equipment to support school productions and performances. This is in addition to improvements to the Performing Arts (PAC).
Dance Ensembles
There are opportunities for students at The Forest High School to participate in a variety of Dance Ensembles both within the class setting and in extra-curricular groups. Each year students have the opportunity to perform in a major school production as well as other school and community performances. The Forest High School has a new sprung dance floor and up-to-date lighting and sound equipment.
